Attic Sale

Yes! We really have items from our attic for sale…and lots more that our generous friends have donated! Member preview is Friday, May 1, 5:00—7:00 pm. Bring your member card for admission.(Join now so you won’t miss the best bargains!).

 

Donations include furniture, household items, books, . We do not have clothes in our attic sale. Pick-up is available for large items or large amounts. Donations are tax-deductible because all proceeds benefit the museum.

Summer Pottery Classes with Jonathan Scollo

Join Jonathan Scollo, instructor, for his summer sessions in pottery. Available to ages 8th Grade to adult. Monday evenings in the Swanson Studio. Call Mr. Scollo, during the day, at (434) 792-5355 to register. Fee is $85 for Museum members & $95 for non-members.


Youth Solo Competition

Time: 6:00 PM

The Danville Museum of Fine Art and History and BB&T will present a middle and high school solo festival on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the museum at 6:00 p.m. This event will feature students from the Dan River Region including students from the City of Danville, Pittsylvania and Caswell Counties. These gifted musicians will be competing for cash prizes in the categories of instrumental and vocal music.  

In 2014, Danville Museum hosted Danville Sings, a multi-cultural choir performance with representatives from different churches in the Danville. This year’s event focuses on youth musicians giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent. An $8 fee at the door includes museum admission and supports future programs that enable the museum to meet its vision to be the Dan River Region’s leader for integrated awareness of history, culture, and community. Nonperforming students are admitted for $4.
