Learn to Sew

The Introduction to sewing course will introduce you to the sewing machine. You will learn how the machine functions, threading and bobbin winding, needle and bobbin installation, how to identify problems and troubleshooting. You will be introduced to basic sewing operations and use various stitches on the machine and basic fabrics. You will practice sewing basic stitches and will have the opportunity to make an envelope pillow cover.

Cost: $50 per class ($35 for students who bring their own tools and fabric) Sewing kits and machines are included in the price of the course. Students who bring their own equipment and fabric can purchase the class at a reduced rate. Please be prepared to pay at the event.
