GOOGLE TOUR FOR NON-Profits And Local Bussinesses | CREATING VIRTUAL CONTENT USING FREE RESOURCES 

 

Monday, January 13: Presentation and open workshop day with Google Tour Creator 

Tuesday, January 14: Elise workday that will include taking photos in the gallery and interviews (She is happy to share her process for those who wear many hats in marketing)

 

Visiting DMFAH Resident Elise Shaffer will present a day-long workshop (10am to 3pm with lunch included or 5pm to 10pm with supper included). Individuals who do freelance marketing and organizations partnered with the museum will benefit from learning about the free resources available to them and the process of creating a virtual tour that can be used by arts and tourist organizations for various purposes. These individuals and partners can attend the training and workshop offered to museum staff. Workshop attendees are encouraged to attend the presentation and bring their personal laptops, and then spend the day at the museum to learn how to use Google Tour Creator and the process Elise uses to create virtual tours for art galleries and museums. This workshop can be used for any small business owner.

BIO | PRESENTER, ELISE SCHAFFER 

Elise Schaffer is a senior Arts Administration major (Class of May 2020) from Penn State University, Lehigh Valley campus in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Elise has previously worked as an intern for the Lehigh Valley Arts Council and the Ronald K DeLong Gallery, as well as a Project Assistant for the Spotted Lanternfly: Zones of Syncopation community arts project and a teaching assistant for the Virtual Education Department at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Elise’s undergraduate research focuses on virtual resources for arts and cultural organizations as well as accessibility adaptations for arts spaces.
