Ghosts and Gravestones Auditions

There will only be ONE audition. This event takes place on Thursday, September 22, Friday, September, 23, and Saturday September 24. Ghosts and Gravestones taps into the tradition of “Candlelight Tours” which are living history programs that enacts the lives of 10-14 people who lived or died in Danville or were buried at the Old Grove street cemetery. The narratives delve creatively into local history as told through the eyes of these historical ghosts. This year I have been told there are new characters added to equitably represent all of Danville’s history Ghosts. Each tour begins at the Sutherlin Mansion, follows a trail through Grove Street cemetery and ends back at the museum.

Our museum interns are currently working hard on recording the historical documents used to write the scripts that are presented by Smokestack.
