Danville Daily 1950s Through the Lens of John Tate

The Danville Historical Society is pleased to present its first-ever major exhibition.  John Tate was a photographer for The Bee and The Register newspapers for several decades.  He donated tens of thousands of his photographs to the DHS.  From these, curators have selected photographs from the decade of the 1950s to highlight both the work of John Tate and life in the region during that time.  The exhibit opens Friday, August 14, 2015 at 5:30.  It is free and open to the public.  The exhibit runs August 14 to October 11, 2015.

This exhibition is provided with support from our members and
